Furyu (フリュー株式会社), the Japanese hobby goods company, is set to release a 1/7 scale figure of Motoko Kusanagi under its high-quality figure brand F:NEX! This release coincides with the launch of the second season of the sci-fi anime series "Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045." Priced at 27,500 JPY, pre-orders opened on May 23, 2022, with an estimated release in November 2022.
The anime series "Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045," adapted from Masamune Shirow's original manga, is produced using 3D computer graphics. The story centers on Motoko Kusanagi, depicting Public Security Section 9's fight against terrorism. This latest installment is set after a global financial crisis, where the world is embroiled in a "Sustainable War" driven by artificial intelligence. Facing new forms of cyber threats, Public Security Section 9 must once again step up to counter them.
The "F:NEX Motoko Kusanagi" 1/7 scale PVC pre-painted figure stands approximately 245mm tall. Inspired by her appearance in "Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045," the paint application meticulously recreates her glossy bangs, crimson eyes, and pink lips, with her enigmatic expression fully capturing the character's allure.
