Banpresto, a prize brand under BANDAI SPIRITS, which produces the popular World Collectable Figure (WCF) series, recently unveiled the first wave of figures inspired by the "ONE PIECE FILM RED" movie. Now, the highly anticipated second wave has also been revealed, with images appearing on Banpresto's official social media. These are slated for a September 2022 release.
Following the earlier official character posters for "ONE PIECE FILM RED," which depicted the Straw Hat Pirates in extravagant outfits blending Western medieval and pirate aesthetics—with eye-catching details like Luffy, Sanji, Chopper, Nami, and Robin all wielding swords—the WCF series now brings these elaborate battle costumes to life. Reinterpreted in adorable chibi proportions, these miniature figures boast high-density sculpting details that are incredibly satisfying. This second wave features Zoro, Nami, Brook, Jinbe, and the recently unveiled mysterious new character, Sunny-kun (サニーくん)!
Nami, with her highly prominent hat adorned with gold rings and feathers, is particularly eye-catching. Brook's hair is also incredibly exaggerated, while the cool Zoro, the robustly sculpted Jinbe, and the super cute Sunny-kun are all highly anticipated.
