Japan's Aoshima Bunka Kyozai Co., Ltd.'s model kit brand 'ACKS' recently officially announced the latest product from the classic robot anime "Space Runaway Ideon", the "Ideon 1/450 Scale Model Kit", expected to be released in November 2022.
The legendary giant Ideon is the strongest weapon restored and modified by Earthlings after excavating the ruins of the Sixth Civilization. In its robot form, after combining from three machines, it stands 105 meters tall and weighs 5,650 tons. Driven by the infinite power "IDE", it exhibits overwhelming combat capabilities. Melee attacks alone can cause massive damage, and 16,000 missiles hidden throughout its body can be fired simultaneously in all directions. In the mid-to-late stages of the story, it also features weapons powered by miniature black holes "MBH": the "Ideon Wave Gun", which fires a wave-destroying ray that annihilates vast amounts of matter both inside and outside its vicinity, and the "Ideon Sword", which converges long-range beams fired from both arms into a giant sword, powerful enough to cleave a planet in two.
Aoshima's new "Ideon 1/450 Scale Model Kit", developed after a 40-year hiatus, features newly drawn illustrations by Yuichi Higuchi for its box art. The kit is made with multi-color molded parts, allowing for the recreation of its in-show appearance without the need for stickers upon completion. It boasts a height of 24 cm, a sharp and refined excellent sculpt, and highly articulated joint designs.
The weapon accessories are even more abundant, including three types of face masks, the massive signature weapon "Wave Gun", and effect parts to recreate the "Ideon Sword" fired from both arms, as well as the massive missile barrage from the shoulders and legs! Additionally, the product also includes a "Jongu" close-combat mobile machine in the same scale.
