Following the Japanese release of the theatrical film "Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero," BANDAI, Japan's leading toy company, has unveiled new additions to its popular S.H.Figuarts series: "Gamma 2" and "S.H.Figuarts Gamma 1" action figures. The reference price is 7,700 JPY, with an expected release in January 2023.
The 21st theatrical film in the Dragon Ball series, "Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero," is the second animated film in the "Dragon Ball Super" series. Original creator Akira Toriyama was responsible for the script and contributed to details including the story, character designs, and dialogue. The plot tells of the Red Ribbon Army, once defeated by Son Goku, making a comeback under the name "New Red Ribbon Army." Genius scientist Dr. Hedo (Dr.ヘド) creates androids who call themselves "superheroes," "Gamma 1" and "Gamma 2," who then confront Son Gohan and his mentor Piccolo!
The "S.H.Figuarts Gamma 1" action figure stands approximately 145 mm tall, faithfully recreating the appearance of the superhero android Gamma 1 as seen in "Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero." Its distinctive iron-gray facial contours, yellow battle suit, and red cape are all meticulously rendered. In addition to a calm and collected expression, the figure includes several interchangeable expression parts such as a battle cry, gritting teeth, serious, and panicked looks. Paired with three pairs of interchangeable left and right hands, arm parts, and a weapon gun, various scenes can be enjoyed.
