Following the hilarious "Cats and Dogs Enduring Strong Winds" series, a collaboration between Japanese sculptor Montomi and gashapon company Qualia (Qualia Co., Ltd.), the duo has once again teamed up to launch the highly anticipated second installment: the "Won't Lose to the Wind 2" charm gashapon. This collection features five different designs, with a suggested retail price of 300 JPY per turn, and is scheduled to be released in June 2022.
Sculptor Montomi has been interested in handmade art with animal and nature themes since childhood. Since 2016, Montomi has officially released works as a sculptor, creating popular and adorable pieces including "Animal Life: Corgi's Daily Life" and "Wrinkled Face Pikachu".
The Qualia "Won't Lose to the Wind 2" (Kaze ni mo Makezu) gashapon series showcases the unwavering determination of cats and dogs against fierce winds! Utilizing sculptor Montomi's expertise in vivid facial expressions, the figures capture hilarious poses where their eyes are squeezed shut and fur is blown askew by the strong gusts. The five included designs are: Afghan Hound, Standard Poodle, Pug, Silver Tabby Cat, and Himalayan Cat. With a maximum size of approximately 60 mm, whether it's fluffy fur or loose skin, everything is spectacularly blown about by the strong wind! Their resolute stances and adorably funny expressions are truly inspiring!
