Japan's X-PLUS Company (株式会社エクスプラス)'s "Toho 30cm Series" has announced the latest product from the movie "Godzilla vs. Hedorah": the limited edition finished product "FAVORITE SCULPTORS LINE Hedorah (Flying Form)", with a reference price of 33,000 JPY, scheduled for release in October 2022.
The 11th film in the Godzilla series, "Godzilla vs. Hedorah" (ゴジラ対ヘドラ), released in 1971, tells the story of Hedorah, a mineral lifeform from space, who, after arriving on Earth, is affected by pollution and absorbs sludge, exhaust fumes, and other pollutants, growing into a "Smog Monster".
Hedorah has four forms: Aquatic Form, Land Form, Flying Form, and Perfect Form. The Land Form walks on four legs, its body can melt steel, and it can shed its outermost skin to escape when necessary. The Flying Form emits highly toxic black smoke while flying, reducing people to skeletons. Because its body has no fixed shape or structure, most physical attacks cannot harm it.
The "FAVORITE SCULPTORS LINE Hedorah (Flying Form)" limited edition finished product meticulously captures Hedorah's terrifying characteristics, with a main body size of approximately 9 cm in height and 38 cm in total length, displayed with a stand to depict its airborne flying posture. Its two large red eyes, the multi-colored pollutant hues on its body, and its complex biological form are all faithfully reproduced! Additionally, the limited edition includes a tadpole-like larval form and the Aquatic Form found on the seabed, allowing you to fully enjoy Hedorah's rich variety of transformations!
