BANDAI SPIRITS Collectors Division TAMASHII NATIONS, Japan's popular alloy toy series "METAL BUILD," today announced the latest product from "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED MSV," the "I.W.S.P. Equipment," is scheduled for release in November 2022.
The full name of the AQM/E-M1 I.W.S.P. Equipment is "Integrated Weapons Striker Pack." It was one of the few Striker Pack systems produced by the Earth Alliance in C.E. 73. This backpack integrates the distinctive armaments of the Aile, Sword, and Launcher Striker Packs, featuring a thruster pack, 115mm electromagnetic cannon, single-barrel cannon, prototype 9.1m anti-ship sword, 6-barrel Gatling gun shield, and other weapons. While seemingly versatile and powerful, it suffered from unresolved issues such as high manufacturing costs, excessive power consumption, and unbalanced weight distribution, thus it could not be considered a successful piece of equipment. However, subsequent improvements led to truly battlefield-viable specifications like the Noir Striker Pack and Phoenix Equipment.
The "METAL BUILD I.W.S.P. Equipment" largely maintains the original design, with no intentional changes to the placement of armaments such as the 115mm electromagnetic cannon, single-barrel cannon, and prototype 9.1m anti-ship sword. Complementing the Strike Gundam's more realistic design, it features richly colored body markings, showcasing high-density detailed sculpting. It can also combine with the composite shield equipped with a Gatling gun to form an original configuration. This product can be mounted on both Strike Gundam and Astray Gundam system mobile suits using the included connector parts. More product information is expected to be announced in late June.
