Known for its impressive scale and exquisite detail, Japanese high-quality statue manufacturer Prime 1 Studio, following the release of 「Yuji Itadori」 from the popular anime 《Jujutsu Kaisen》 in its Concept Masterline series, is simultaneously launching the second installment: the 「Sukuna」 1/6 scale diorama statue. It will be available in both Regular and DX editions, with an estimated release window from September to December 2023.
Ryomen Sukuna, as recorded in the 《Nihon Shoki》, is a supernatural being with two faces and four elbows said to have appeared in the Hida region. In present-day Gifu Prefecture, he is legendary as an incarnation of the Bodhisattva Kannon, with some temples even enshrining statues of Ryomen Sukuna. In the 《Jujutsu Kaisen》 series, he is depicted as the King of Curses among Special Grade Cursed Objects, possessing overwhelming power. After his death, his twenty fingers were severed and sealed, scattered across Japan, and even after a thousand years, his mummified remains still possess immense cursed energy. His nature is cruel and he delights in slaughter. After Yuji Itadori swallowed one of his fingers, Sukuna became parasitic within Yuji's body.
The 「Prime 1 Studio Sukuna」 1/6 scale diorama statue brings to life Sukuna's dominant pose, seated cross-legged on a throne of bones during his Domain Expansion, 「Malevolent Shrine」! Standing approximately 34 cm tall, the statue faithfully recreates Sukuna's appearance while residing within Yuji Itadori's body, featuring his signature spiky hair, the emergence of facial markings, and his four open eyes. The simple kimono, obi belt, monochrome scarf, and socks that accentuate Sukuna's charm all showcase different textures and wrinkle details. The base, adorned with sinister demonic horned skulls, fully embodies the grand presence of the King of Curses!
The 「Prime 1 Studio Sukuna DX Edition」 includes an additional interchangeable head sculpt featuring the King's impatient and angry expression, along with interchangeable hand parts to complement it, showcasing Sukuna's volatile personality.
