Japan's GOOD SMILE COMPANY's affordable PVC painted finished figure series, "POP UP PARADE", is set to release a figure of the protagonist, "Angela Balzac" (アンジェラ バルザック), from the 2014 anime film "Expelled from Paradise" (楽園追放 -Expelled from Paradise-)! It is scheduled for release in November 2022.
The 3D CG animated film "Expelled from Paradise" (楽園追放 -Expelled from Paradise-), released in November 2014, was co-produced by Toei Animation and Nitro+, directed by Seiji Mizushima, with the "Love Warrior" Gen Urobuchi serving as screenwriter. Renowned voice actors such as Rie Kugimiya also lent their talents to the project.
The story primarily describes a future world where Earth has become largely uninhabitable due to environmental changes. People have abandoned their physical bodies, converting their consciousness into data, and reside in the cyber world "Deva." The protagonist, Angela, is a data security officer. To track down a hacker who infiltrated Deva, she takes on the form of a 16-year-old physical body and embarks on an mission with Dingo, an investigator on Earth, gradually uncovering the truth behind the incident.
This POP UP PARADE Angela figure is based on her appearance in the original work, where her physical body is halted at the age of 16 for mission deployment. Her outfit resembles a one-piece swimsuit, complemented by long arm covers and long boots. The white base with black trim, accented with green details, along with the head ornament, gives the overall design a strong futuristic feel. Her long hair flowing behind her also conveys a sense of dynamic movement.
