The robot-themed articulated finished product series "ROBOT魂", released by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collectible toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Company, recently announced its latest product, "ROBOT魂 G-3 Gundam ver. A.N.I.M.E. ～REAL MARKING～", which will be exclusively available at TAMASHII NATIONS STORE TOKYO events and for CLUB TAMASHII MEMBERS. It is scheduled to go on sale starting July 26, 2022.
In the novel version of "Mobile Suit Gundam", the G-3 Gundam is the third unit in the RX-78 Gundam series. After protagonist Amuro Ray's fierce battle with Elmeth left the RX-78-2 Gundam Unit 2 half-destroyed, he transferred to the G-3 Gundam and participated in the Battle of A Baoa Qu until his death. This unit's appearance is fundamentally the same as Unit 2, but its body features a gray-white paint scheme. Additionally, the frame's drive sections are treated with a special magnetic coating, which reduces friction between parts and enhances mobility speed.
The "ROBOT魂 G-3 Gundam ver. A.N.I.M.E. ～REAL MARKING～" is an updated version based on the general release from 2016. The entire model features extensive body markings reproduced via tampo printing, giving the product a heightened sense of realism. Color schemes on areas such as the head and waist have also been altered. Furthermore, its armor design and body proportions, which closely adhere to the anime's settings, along with its highly flexible articulated joint design, are also significant selling points.
Accessories include a shield, beam rifle, beam saber, hyper bazooka, various interchangeable hand parts, and a set of beam effect parts. With its flexible articulation and diverse weapon accessories, you can recreate dynamic and cool battle scenes!
