GOODSMILE COMPANY's "Nendoroid" series, featuring over a thousand types of posable figures, is re-releasing the highly popular "Nendoroid Yumeko Jabami" from the TV anime "Kakegurui ××" following the release of "Mary Saotome"! The suggested retail price is 5,900 JPY, and it is scheduled for re-release in November 2023~
The Japanese manga series "Kakegurui" (賭ケグルイ), with Homura Kawamoto as the original author and Tōru Naomura as the artist, is set in Hyakkaou Private Academy, an elite school where everything is decided by "gambling." All students compete for status through gambling, and the student council manages the school's casino. Students are required to pay "donations" to the student council, and there's a class system where those who go bankrupt become "house pets." The intense, maniacal laughter and distorted expressions of the high school girls as they fall into the abyss of gambling have earned this work the reputation of a "face-breaking masterpiece."
Yumeko Jabami, the representative of the Jabami branch of the Momobami clan, is a mysterious transfer student with long, straight black hair. She is also a fanatic with an extreme contrast to her appearance, addicted to gambling, and becomes excited when discussing it. She is skilled in gambling techniques and exposing cheats, enjoying and reveling in the thrill derived from taking risks.
The "Nendoroid Yumeko Jabami" posable figure, originally released in July 2018, is now available for a second run. Toy enthusiasts who missed out before can seize this opportunity! Standing approximately 10 cm tall, the figure faithfully recreates Yumeko in her exquisite houndstooth pleated skirt Hyakkaou Private Academy uniform, with her long, straight black hair also looking captivating! It comes with three interchangeable face plates: a "standard face" with a gentle, shy smile, an "ecstatic face" for when she's deep in gambling frenzy, and a menacing "threatening face" for her expressive antics. Paired with accessories like "playing cards," "house pet tags," and "banknotes," you can recreate various scenes from the series. Let's fall into the gambling frenzy, meow~
