LEGO's City series has launched several sets this year that allow players to experience the process of "farm harvesting, vegetable transportation, and store sales." Now, a brand new mini-shop, "40578 Sandwich Shop," is making its debut! According to the Japanese LEGO information website スタッズ (stds.jp), this set will be released in September 2022 as a Gift With Purchase (GWP).
The piece count for this set has not yet been announced. It includes a cute sandwich shop, an outdoor dining table with a condiment area, and dark gray flat road plates. The minifigures consist of one male and one female. The male minifigure is dressed as a bicycle delivery rider, appearing to have repurposed a part previously used as a safe or small oven, worn on his back, with a sandwich sticker applied to serve as a delivery insulated box. The female minifigure's top seems to feature a full-print avocado pattern, which is super fun! Other design highlights include a brick-built sandwich model on the shop's roof, cute menu graphics, and more. Paired with the road baseplate that can be directly integrated into a LEGO City, it's truly fantastic! We look forward to the official release details in Taiwan.
