The HOBBY Division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd. has announced the latest product from "Mobile Suit Gundam The Witch from Mercury" for its "HG (High Grade)" series of 1/144 scale Gunpla, known for its most diverse range of mobile suits. The "HG 1/144 Hindley" is scheduled for release in February 2023.
The Hindley is a mobile suit produced by Grassley Defense Systems in the series. From its name and appearance, it can be inferred that this mobile suit evolved from the mass-produced MS Witch Inquisitor that appeared in a side story. The Hindley is equipped with a distinctive offense-defense integrated composite shield armament. The round shield on its left arm can rotate from the side to the front, while the round shield on its right arm connects a spear and a beam pistol via a rotating mechanism.
The "HG 1/144 Hindley" faithfully recreates its anime appearance with multi-color molded parts and excellent part separation technology. The purple sections on the head and chest are rendered with clear parts. It adopts a snap-fit construction, making assembly more accessible. The neck, chest, and waist each utilize ball joints for flexible articulation, allowing for dynamic forward and backward leaning poses. The offense-defense integrated specialized armament faithfully reproduces its rotating mechanism, and the three thrusters on the backpack are independently articulated.
