BANDAI SPIRITS Hobby Division's highly popular character model kit series 'Figure-rise Standard' today announced the latest product from the movie "Shin Kamen Rider," "Kamen Rider (Shin Kamen Rider)," scheduled for release in March 2023.
Set to premiere in March 2023, the Kamen Rider 50th Anniversary commemorative work "Shin Kamen Rider" is a reinterpretation of the original "Kamen Rider" by director Hideaki Anno. Talented young actor Sosuke Ikematsu portrays the new generation's Takeshi Hongo, leading audiences to relive the classic battles of Kamen Rider 1 and 2 against the evil organization "Shocker" that seeks to conquer the world, all presented with a modern style infused with nostalgic elements.
Naturally, Kamen Rider 1's design has also undergone a moderate refresh. This release, the 'Figure-rise Standard Kamen Rider (Shin Kamen Rider)', recreates the new in-film design as a model kit. Standing 16 cm tall, it features precise part separation and multi-color molded parts. The costume parts have undergone special electrical discharge machining to achieve a leather texture, while the head antennae and belt have been treated with "EXTRA FINISH" processing for a brilliant silver sheen. The most distinctive feature of the new design, the exposed hair and neck of the transformed individual, is also thoroughly reproduced.
Accessories include multiple interchangeable hand parts and two styles of red scarf (static and flowing). Coupled with the figure's flexible articulation, you can recreate classic scenes such as transformation poses, jumps, and the execution of signature special moves like "Rider Punch" and "Rider Kick"!
