To commemorate the 55th anniversary of Tsuburaya Productions' tokusatsu series "Ultraseven", BANDAI SPIRITS' Collectors Division TAMASHII NATIONS in Japan has announced a commemorative product for its popular action figure series "S.H.Figuarts": the "S.H.Figuarts Pandon: The Greatest Invasion Set 55th Anniversary Ver."! The suggested retail price is 8,800 JPY, with an estimated release in March 2023.
The "S.H.Figuarts Pandon: The Greatest Invasion Set 55th Anniversary Ver." is based on the previously released standard version, incorporating the night battle scene from the final episode of "Ultraseven". The main body features a new paint application—the overall red tone is darker, and shadows and a unique glossy texture have been applied to the beak and the 'lychee skin' (X) on the body, giving the impressive two-headed design of the final enemy, the two-headed monster Pandon, a more three-dimensional feel!
Additionally, accessories include the modified mechanical arms and leg parts after it lost its limbs in the show, as well as the Ice Slasher weapon. When combined with the separately sold S.H.Figuarts Ultraseven 55th Anniversary Ver. and its interchangeable head parts, you can recreate the classic scene where Ultraseven's telekinesis reverses the Ice Slasher, leading to Pandon's tragic decapitation!
