From Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Company's collector's toy division, TAMASHII NATIONS, the popular action figure series 'S.H.Figuarts' today officially announced the latest product from "Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury", "Suletta Mercury", scheduled for release in April 2023.
The protagonist of "Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury" is a girl named Suletta Mercury. In her childhood, she lived with her mother in the extremely harsh frontier region of "Mercury," where Suletta was the only child, and the AI of the Gundam Aerial became her companion for growth and play. At 16, Suletta was sent by her mother to Asticassia School of Technology, operated by the Benerit Group, a leading company in the mobile suit industry, which gathers elites from around the world. She enrolled in the second year of the piloting department. Many new and unfamiliar things excited her, and she looked forward to a school life filled with making new friends, but due to her introverted personality and lack of experience interacting with peers, she struggled with communication.
The "S.H.Figuarts Suletta Mercury" transforms the adorable tanuki-like protagonist into an articulated figure approximately 14 cm tall. The sculpt faithfully recreates her distinctive messy hairstyle and the exclusive uniform symbolizing the dueling champion of the school. Details such as the hairband, collar, and cuff's golden decorations are expressed through paintwork, while each face part utilizes tampo printing technology to accurately reproduce her cute facial features, including her thick, rounded eyebrows and red eyeshadow, as seen in the original design.
The entire body, including the neck, waist, and limbs, features articulated joints, with precise articulation divisions that allow for flexible movement without compromising the integrity of the sculpt. This enables dynamic poses such as intense running and jumping. Furthermore, with four interchangeable face parts, seven types of interchangeable hand parts for both left and right, and a smartphone-style student handbook, you can recreate her rich emotional expressions from the series, such as joy, surprise, and seriousness!
Additionally, the product includes a total of four mini-figures: "Suletta in Pilot Suit (Large/Small)" and "Suletta in Uniform (Large/Small)". These can be displayed proportionally with separately sold finished models such as the "Chogokin Gundam Aerial" and "ROBOT SPIRITS Gundam Aerial ver. A.N.I.M.E."!
