Japanese model manufacturer MEGAHOUSE today officially announced the latest product from their new mid-to-low price range, small-scale monster figure series, 'MONSTERS CHRONICLE': the 'Insect Queen' from 'Yu-Gi-Oh!', scheduled for release in June 2023.
The 'MONSTERS CHRONICLE' series is a brand-new line of finished monster figures priced under 10,000 Japanese Yen. The scale is significantly smaller compared to the high-end 'ART WORKS MONSTERS' series, with each product standing approximately 15 cm or less in height. Despite the smaller size, they still feature dynamic poses and bases designed to showcase the monster's charm, making them relatively suitable for collectors with limited display space or a lower budget. However, the overall richness of detail and sharpness are noticeably inferior to the ART WORKS MONSTERS series.
The 'MONSTERS CHRONICLE Insect Queen' stands at a height of 12 cm, faithfully recreating Insect Haga's ace monster from the anime. It meticulously sculpts human-like facial features, massive spiny insect legs, and an extremely bloated abdomen, with vibrant color applications bringing out the brilliant hues of its insect shell. The base further enhances the scene with numerous hatching insect eggs, newly hatched larvae, and copious amounts of green slime, creating a remarkably rich diorama. The series is also set to release more monsters from the 'Yu-Gi-Oh!' series in the future, allowing collectors to build a three-dimensional encyclopedia.
