Japan's GOOD SMILE COMPANY's affordable pre-painted figure series "POP UP PARADE", based on the popular anime "Chainsaw Man", simultaneously releases "Denji" and "POP UP PARADE Chainsaw Man" PVC figures! Each is priced at 4,800 JPY, with an estimated release in April 2023.
The dark shonen manga "Chainsaw Man", created by Japanese manga artist Tatsuki Fujimoto, tells the story of a world overrun by "Devils". The extremely impoverished protagonist, Denji, becomes a Devil Hunter, earning money by slaying Devils to pay off his deceased father's massive debt, and hunts Devils in cooperation with the Chainsaw Devil "Pochita". In an accident, Pochita sacrifices himself, merging with Denji's heart through a contract, resurrecting Denji and granting him the ability to transform into the Chainsaw Devil. Because of this, he is noticed by the government's "Public Safety Devil Hunters Special Division".
The "POP UP PARADE Chainsaw Man" PVC figure, approximately 185 mm tall, is based on Denji's transformation into Chainsaw Man, showcasing his incredibly flexible waist. It faithfully recreates his sharp teeth and protruding tongue, capturing a frenzied pose as if roaring to the sky! The textured, blood-red chainsaw head, intricate mechanical structure, and the menacing chainsaw blades emerging from his head and hands are also painted with bloodstains, vividly recreating the character's active and brutal scenes from the series!
