BANDAI SPIRITS Company's HOBBY Division in Japan has announced that the latest Gunpla product from "Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury", the "HG 1/144 Gundam Pharact", originally scheduled for release on December 3rd, will be delayed by two weeks to December 17th, 2022. The product's box art and prototype images have now been released.
The Gundam Pharact is a GUND-ARM mobile suit secretly developed by Peil Technologies, one of the Benerit Group's three major corporations. It employs a GUND Format similar to the older generation Lfrith, and as such, the drawback of pilot overload still persists. It requires enhanced humans who have undergone modifications to withstand the GUND Format's feedback. In the series, the enhanced human known as Elan Ceres (No. 4), who underwent cosmetic surgery to resemble the original Elan, serves as its pilot. This mobile suit continues the characteristics of Peil-series mobile suits, featuring a streamlined, slender design. It is equipped with bombardment-type thrusters that significantly enhance its flight performance, and also features numerous GUND-Bits that can fly independently and emit electromagnetic beams to disable enemy mobile suits, allowing the long-range beam rifle to destroy them while they are immobilized.
The "HG 1/144 Gundam Pharact" utilizes multi-color molded parts to recreate its sleek, dark, and slender form. The head, shoulders, and thigh covers are made with clear parts, and internal stickers are used to depict their illuminated state. The shoulders, equipped with bombardment-type thrusters, faithfully reproduce the internal reverse thruster deployment mechanism. The forearm armor can deploy to reveal beam saber storage, and the foot armor can also recreate its closed transformation mechanism for flight.
For weaponry, it includes a long-range beam rifle, two beam sabers, and 8 GUND-Bits. The GUND-Bits feature sculpted details such as thruster nozzles and beam emitters, and can be stored inside the shoulder thrusters. They can be combined with separately sold display stands to recreate the GUND-Bits in their firing poses.
