BANDAI SPIRITS Hobby Division from Japan has announced the latest product from the "HG (High Grade)" series, the most diverse lineup of 1/144 scale Gunpla, "HG 1/144 Dilanza Sol" from "Mobile Suit Gundam The Witch from Mercury," with an expected release in April 2023.
The Dilanza Sol is a mass-production mobile suit built by Jeturk Corporation, one of the three major corporations in the series. Compared to the standard specifications seen in the school previously, the Dilanza Sol is equipped with heavier shields on both shoulders, reinforced thrusters on the rear skirt armor, and a back-mounted HC Missile Launcher capable of firing auto-tracking cluster missiles.
The "HG 1/144 Dilanza Sol" is a modified version of the previously released standard kit, retaining its refined, easy-to-assemble construction and flexible articulation design. In addition to changing the molding color to the Sol-type's characteristic black tone, it also uses many new parts to recreate the head, shoulder shields, beam rifle, and backpack HC missile launcher. The beam rifle and beam torch can also be stored inside the shield, and it comes with dedicated red beam effects.
