Ghibli specialty store "Acorn Republic"'s popular limited "Come Out! (でておいで)" gashapon series is set to launch a new "Totoro, Come Out!" series featuring a "My Neighbor Totoro" theme! There are a total of four designs, with a reference price of 500 JPY per turn, and it is currently available exclusively at Acorn Republic stores in Japan!
The "Totoro, Come Out!" gashapon, in an eco-friendly shell-less format, combines the Totoro shape with a flocked exterior, presenting a substantial size of approximately 8 cm tall~ Inside are mini figures of Totoro's ears, as well as four designs: Mei, Frog and Soot Sprites, Medium Totoro, and Small Totoro, which can be assembled onto Totoro's head, transforming into a super cute design of them sitting atop the large Totoro! Each Totoro's expression is also slightly different, allowing for interchangeable assembly~ The gashapon machine at Acorn Republic stores is designed to look like a tree, so when you turn it, it's as if Totoro is rolling out from the forest~!
