Following the highly acclaimed Lumitea and Velretta, Kotobukiya's new series of beautiful girl plastic model kits, "ARCANADEA," has finally announced today its latest product, "Yukumo," scheduled for release in June 2023.
The third character to appear, Yukumo, is also designed by illustrator necömi. She is a beast-girl who is very sensitive to fashion trends, with a design that combines the "fox spirit" and "miko" (shrine maiden) imagery often used in Japanese mythology. Her fluffy, massive tail is incredibly cute. She is kind-hearted, dislikes conflict, and is quite shy and introverted, not adept at social interaction. However, her perseverance is stronger than most, and she never gives up until the very last moment.
When completed, the "ARCANADEA Yukumo" kit stands approximately 15.5 cm tall. It extensively recreates necömi's adorable beast-girl design using multi-color molded parts and some pre-painted parts. The base body shares the same structure as the previous two releases, featuring pull-out knee joints that offer both flexible articulation and elegant leg lines. Other features include movable small hair bundles on both sides of the hair parts, the knot, bell, and shide (paper strips) on her back, the front skirt, and the three-layered fluffy tail base, all designed with articulation. The underside of the tail can also connect to a display stand for support, allowing for delicate posing.
Accessories include 4 pre-printed interchangeable face parts, waterslide decals for creating custom expressions, and 6 pairs of interchangeable PVC hand parts. Naturally, a set of exclusive parts is also included, allowing Yukumo to transform into a more elaborate miko-like battle form, wielding a staff with movable golden ring parts, and capable of recreating the staff-blade hidden within. Face parts and back magic circle parts are interchangeable with other ARCANADEA series kits. Furthermore, various parts are designed with common 3mm joint connections, and a neck part for connecting heads from the Frame Arms Girl and Megami Device series is included, enabling customization with many of Kotobukiya's plastic model products.
