MEDICOM TOY's popular 6-inch action figure series, MAFEX, will release a new "MAFEX BATMAN & HORSE (The Dark Knight Returns)" figure, themed after "Batman: The Dark Knight Returns" and recreating the classic horseback riding scene! The suggested retail price is 16,280 JPY, and it is scheduled for release in February 2024.
One of Batman's most iconic comics, "Batman: The Dark Knight Returns," was written and drawn by Frank Miller and published in 1986. It tells the story of an aging Dark Knight—Batman—who, after the death of the second Robin, retired and disappeared for over a decade. Due to Gotham City's continuously rising crime rate, he decides to return to action, once again confronting villains such as the Mutant Gang, Two-Face, and the Joker. At the same time, due to differing stances with Superman, he even has to face off against his nearly invincible old friend....
The "MAFEX BATMAN & HORSE (The Dark Knight Returns)" action figure set faithfully recreates Batman's steady, burly, and incredibly muscular physique from the comic. His form-fitting grey and black battle suit is stretched by his large muscles, creating captivating lines, while the fabric cape flows naturally, not only allowing for dynamic posing but also enhancing his cool factor! It includes two interchangeable facial expressions, a normal face and a gritted-teeth face, along with a damaged abdomen part and multiple hand gestures to recreate intense battle scenes.
