Following the release of "Blue-Eyes White Dragon / Red-Eyes Black Dragon / Insect Queen," Japanese model manufacturer MEGAHOUSE has announced the second wave of its new mid-to-low-priced small-scale monster figure series, "MONSTERS CHRONICLE," featuring "Flame Swordsman" from Yu-Gi-Oh!. The suggested retail price is 7,040 JPY, with an estimated release in September 2023.
The new "MONSTERS CHRONICLE" series of finished monster figures, priced under 10,000 JPY, features models approximately 15 cm or less in size. While significantly smaller than the high-end "ART WORKS MONSTERS" series, they still boast dynamic poses and bases that highlight the monsters' charm, allowing fans to collect Yu-Gi-Oh! monsters like a three-dimensional encyclopedia. This series is perfect for fans who want to collect but are concerned about display space and price!
The "MONSTERS CHRONICLE Flame Swordsman" stands approximately 13 cm tall, faithfully recreating Katsuya Jonouchi's (Joey Wheeler's) ace monster, which first appeared in the Duelist Kingdom arc. He wields a greatsword inscribed with the character for "flame," and intricate details are sculpted on his various accessories and powerful abdominal muscles. Furthermore, his feet are surrounded by roaring flames crafted from clear effect parts! His waistcloth billows with the flames, enhanced with an orange-red metallic paint finish, adding to its dynamic feel and powerful presence!
