Premium Collectibles Studio (PCS), a US-based sculpting brand renowned for showcasing character charm with large-scale statues, following their release of the statue based on the comic "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin (TMNT: The Last Ronin)", has recently unveiled their latest product: the "The Last Ronin on Bike" 1/4 scale statue! It is expected to ship from September to November 2023.
"Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin" is a 5-issue mini-series comic co-created by the original Ninja Turtles creators Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird, along with Tom Waltz, Andy Kuhn, and others, and published by IDW. The story is set in a very dark future where New York City is brutally controlled by Shredder's grandson, Oroku Hiroto. Of the four Ninja Turtle brothers, only one remains. Dressed in black attire and carrying the various weapons his brothers once wielded, he embarks on a solo journey of revenge, preparing to put an end to Hiroto.
This piece stands approximately 53.3 cm tall, depicting the last Turtle, Michelangelo, riding a motorcycle, wielding a katana, and crushing M112 Mousers robots in a powerful display. The Ninja Turtle figure accurately reproduces the details of his dark blue stealth suit and dark brown armor. The sculpting of the wrinkles in his attire, conforming to his movement, and the natural sense of flowing fabric are excellent. His gritted teeth and fierce expression fully convey Michelangelo's rage! The striking red motorcycle not only catches the eye with its color but also exudes a sense of weight with its metallic paintwork, and the visible damage and grime throughout inject more realism into this statue. The crushed and impacted canine-like Mousers, along with the bursting spark effects, are also very impressive; the overall look is truly cool.
▼ In addition to holding a katana, there's also an interchangeable hand holding nunchaku!
