GOOD SMILE COMPANY's affordable painted figure series "POP UP PARADE" from Japan will release a new figure of the popular hololive production VTUBER, "POP UP PARADE Nakiri Ayame"! The suggested retail price is 5,500 JPY, and it is scheduled for release in September 2023.
hololive's second-generation VTuber, Nakiri Ayame (百鬼あやめ), is designed with the image of a Japanese oni god (kishin) from Japanese culture, and illustrated by Kagura Nana (artist name > ななかぐら). She is over 1500 years old, speaks using archaic language, and refers to herself as "Yo (余)". In her lore, she is a kimono-clad oni god girl from the Demon World School, who loves to play pranks and often uses will-o'-the-wisps to tease others.
The "POP UP PARADE Nakiri Ayame" PVC figure measures approximately 170 mm in height. It faithfully recreates the young lady's adorable pose in both sculpting and coloring, reproducing the twin horns on her head that signify her oni god status, and her flowing, gradient hair. She wears an ancient-style outfit adorned with spider lily patterns and accented with noble gold, and the details of the red and white suzuo (bell cord) knot are also exquisitely rendered! Her exposed thighs from behind and the subtly visible area beneath her skirt are also major highlights.
