Hong Kong toy company Storm Collectibles, known for releasing numerous articulated collectible figures, will launch an articulated figure of the protagonist 'Blue' from Tetsuo Hara-sensei's early work CYBER BLUE in Q4 2023!
CYBER BLUE (サイバーブルー, Chinese translation: "Blue Warrior") is a work that began serialization in 1988 in Weekly Shonen Jump. The artist is the familiar Tetsuo Hara-sensei, author of Fist of the North Star (Original Story: bob, Script: Ryuichi Mitsui). It ran for a total of 31 chapters. The story describes the year 2305 AD, when humanity has expanded its habitation beyond Earth. The protagonist, 'Blue', is a young boy living on the distant planet 'Tinos' (ティノス). The planet's environment is harsh, requiring life support devices to survive, and society is corrupt, with villains controlling the populace. Blue, a master gunman, is exploited by a malicious security officer and gravely wounded by gunfire. He is saved by the robot 'Fats', who imparts his accumulated 300 years of wisdom and experience, merging with Blue. Blue is reborn as a cyborg with a powerful physique and precise intellect. After reuniting with his old partner Aaron, he begins to fight back against the villains.
This 'Blue' figure from STORM COLLECTIBLES faithfully recreates his reborn state from the original work, where he merged with the computer robot Fats. His physique is robust and muscular, and the ammunition decorations on his body are also accurately reproduced. There are two interchangeable face parts, and he can also be displayed shirtless using alternate parts. Weapon accessories include Blue's signature weapon, the "Automatic Multi-Angle Machine Gun: Fire Serpent," a pistol, and multiple sets of interchangeable hand parts. It's quite a rich offering.
