Bandai Spirits' popular soft vinyl toy "MOVIE MONSTER Series" today (27th) announced three new products from "GAMERA -Rebirth-": "Gamera" (ガメラ), "Gyaos" (ギャオス), and "Jiger" (ジャイガー)! They are scheduled for release in April and June 2023.
"GAMERA -Rebirth-" is a new anime series slated for six episodes on Netflix, where the popular monster "Gamera," active since the 1960s, will face five formidable kaiju enemies! This MOVIE MONSTER Series soft vinyl rendition of "Gamera" measures approximately 16 cm in length, faithfully reproducing the new Gamera's distinctive appearance and colors, including its highly aggressive head, thick and powerful shell, and scale-covered limbs. The tail appears to be thicker than that of the previously revealed "S.H.MonsterArts Gamera (2023)," and the glowing patterns on its abdomen are exquisitely recreated with paintwork.
The items temporarily named "Gamera Appearing Monster A" and "Gamera Appearing Monster B" are, respectively, the 30 cm long "Gyaos (ギャオス)" and the 29 cm long "Jiger (ジャイガー)." Besides being discernible from their appearances, their identities were also confirmed by display information at AnimeJapan 2023. Gyaos's massive wings and Jiger's prominent horn on its head are both highly distinctive features.
