Japanese toy manufacturer "Phat!" (Phat! Company, Ltd.), known for its high-quality figure series, will release a 1/7 scale figure of the popular character "Sabito" (さびと) from the hit series Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba! It is scheduled for release in April 2024.
Created by Japanese manga artist Koyoharu Gotouge, the super popular manga series Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba (鬼滅の刃), which began serialization in 2016, continues to be popular despite concluding its run in 2020. The second season of the anime, "Entertainment District Arc," finished airing in February 2022, and the third season, "Swordsmith Village Arc," is confirmed to premiere in April 2023.
In the original story, Sabito, like Makomo, was once a disciple under Sakonji Urokodaki. However, both were later killed and devoured by demons. During Tanjiro's final training under Urokodaki, as he attempted to pass his master's trial of "slicing a giant boulder," Sabito suddenly appeared before Tanjiro and engaged him in combat. Initially, Tanjiro was no match. Later, guided by Makomo who pointed out his weaknesses, Tanjiro finally managed to defeat Sabito approximately half a year later. It was then that Tanjiro realized he had successfully sliced the giant boulder. Later, during a demon-slaying mission, Tanjiro learned the truth that both Sabito and Makomo had already passed away.
This Sabito figure from Phat! is recreated at 1/7 scale, standing approximately 15 cm tall. It captures him in a dynamic pose, wielding his sword with one hand in a slashing motion, with his haori flowing along with the movement. For accessories, it includes his iconic mask, as well as both a wooden sword and his Nichirin Blade, which can be freely interchanged. The mask can also be displayed worn or removed to reveal his bare face, with the scars on his face meticulously reproduced.
