GOOD SMILE COMPANY's affordable pre-painted figure series, "POP UP PARADE," is releasing a "Yoichi Isagi" PVC figure based on the popular anime "BLUE LOCK"! The suggested retail price is 4,800 JPY, and it is scheduled for release in July 2023.
"BLUE LOCK" (ブルーロック) is a Japanese soccer manga with an original story by Muneyuki Kaneshiro and art by Yusuke Nomura. The story aims to "make the Japanese national team win the FIFA World Cup in 2022" by gathering 300 strikers under the age of 18 to launch the highly controversial "Blue Lock Project" and train the world's best striker. Although it's a sports manga, it doesn't follow the typical path of team spirit, passionate friendships, or bonds; instead, it incorporates a self-centered, battle royale-style competition into soccer.
