Japanese toy company Good Smile Company's popular and best-selling "Nendoroid" (ねんどろいど) toy series is scheduled to release a Nendoroid figure of the protagonist, Akito Izuki, from the video game Ghostwire: Tokyo in October 2023!
Ghostwire: Tokyo is a first-person action-adventure game developed by Tango Gameworks and published by Bethesda Softworks in March 2022. Players control the protagonist, Akito Izuki, using hand seals inspired by Kuji-kiri to unleash various psychic and supernatural abilities. Combined with traditional weapons like bows and talismans, players perform spell-casting actions similar to a shooting game, or parries, to exorcise spirits on the modern streets of Tokyo.
The protagonist, Akito Izuki, whom players control, experiences a severe traffic accident in the game. On the brink of death, he merges with a mysterious shadow and survives, only to find that everyone around him has vanished into thin air. The only things he knows are the other soul residing within him, the powerful spirit medium "KK," and a mysterious man wearing a Hannya mask. Through his fusion with KK, Akito gains four miraculous ethereal powers. The game begins from this point.
This Nendoroid Akito Izuki is based on his in-game appearance, featuring two interchangeable face plates: a standard expression and a combat expression with black flame effects on his face. Accessories include talismans, spell-casting claw-line effect parts, and an illustrated background sheet featuring the Visitors (稀人), among others.
