Following the Gundam Prototype 0, the collectible toy division TAMASHII NATIONS of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS company has today announced the latest product from "Mobile Suit Gundam 0083 with Ghost Bullet," the "Zaku II (Gunner Type)," under its robot-themed action figure line 'ROBOT SPIRITS ver. A.N.I.M.E.', scheduled for release in October 2023.
The MS-06F Zaku II (Gunner Type) is a model developed in UC 0082, after the One Year War, by the Zeon Remnant Forces for a sniper terror attack against the Earth Federation's lunar base. Based on the MS-06F Zaku II, it features the main cannon of the YMS-16M Zamel mounted on its back. The entire body is also equipped with additional gear such as a head aiming scope, spades, a gun mount, impact-resistant armor, and leg missile launchers. It can quickly reach a position using the Zaku II's mobility to set up its artillery, working in conjunction with the Zaku II F2 (Rangefinder Type) to execute precise sniping.
The "ROBOT SPIRITS Zaku II (Gunner Type) ver. A.N.I.M.E." incorporates flexible and natural articulation through designs such as a linkage mechanism for the knee joint and calf armor, and a horizontal axis movable joint at the elbow. It utilizes new parts to recreate the telescopic sight integrated with the head and comes with equipment including the Zamel Cannon, spade shield, right leg spade armor, and a leg triple missile launcher. The Zamel Cannon, which is larger than the main body when stored, can be further deployed, and the gun mount on the right shoulder is also movable, allowing for adjustment of the firing angle.
By combining it with the separately sold 'ROBOT SPIRITS Zaku II F2 (Rangefinder Type) ver. A.N.I.M.E.' and its included gun emplacement, you can recreate the fixed gun battery form. Furthermore, displaying it with the separately sold 'ROBOT SPIRITS Gelgoog J (Sergeant Tag's Unit) ver. A.N.I.M.E.' allows you to recreate the firing scene of the "Zamel Cannon Unit"!
