To commemorate the 20th anniversary of "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED," Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS company, under its immensely popular "Ichiban Kuji" brand (a lottery where every draw wins a prize), today announced the latest product, "Ichiban Kuji Mobile Suit Gundam SEED," scheduled for release in late August 2023.
This "Ichiban Kuji Mobile Suit Gundam SEED" will feature newly drawn illustrations of the four main protagonists from the series—Kira, Athrun, Lacus, and Cagalli—produced as acrylic stands. It will also include lifestyle merchandise such as clear water bottles, illustration cushions, microfiber towels, and acrylic stands, all incorporating rich "Gundam SEED" elements and patterns. However, sample images have not yet been released.
The grand prize, encompassing the A Prize, LASTONE Prize, and Double Chance Campaign, is a bust figure of the highly popular mobile suit ZGMF-X10A Freedom Gundam from the series, standing approximately 17 cm tall. The sculpting deviates from the anime's design drafts, featuring more intricate armor lines to enhance detail density. The shoulder armor has also been specifically enhanced for the bust form, adding upper and lower armor deployment and heat fins, which were not present in the original design, presenting a refined and powerfully cool appearance.
