Bandai Co., Ltd.'s GASHAPON capsule toy brand's new premium series, "Ikimono Dai Zukan Ultimate," is set to release an adorable new "Ladybug" capsule toy. Available in four types, each turn has a reference price of 1,000 JPY. It is currently available for order on PREMIUM BANDAI's "GASHAPON ONLINE," with shipping scheduled for late May 2023.
"Ikimono Dai Zukan Ultimate (Ikimono Dai Zukan Advance)," which boasts top-tier size, sculpting, and articulation design, features more realistic details and exquisite paintwork compared to standard "Ikimono Dai Zukan" products. This "Ikimono Dai Zukan Ultimate Ladybug" release utilizes X-ray CT scans to perfectly recreate the specimen's form and reproduces the ladybug's cuteness in an enlarged size of approximately 60mm. It includes four types: Seven-spotted Ladybug, Harlequin Ladybug, as well as Yellow Ladybug, and Varied-spot Ladybug.
The entire body features 23 points of articulation, including the antennae on the head, the legs that retract to play dead when in danger, and the abdominal segments hidden beneath the wings. Additionally, it features characteristic deployable forewings and thin hindwings made of transparent material, allowing for the recreation of flying poses. When the wings are spread, the size reaches an impressive 18 cm!
