Following "King-Ohger" and "God Kuwagata", Bandai Spirits Japan recently announced the latest product from this year's Super Sentai series, "Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger," the "DX God Scorpion," scheduled for release on April 22, 2023.
This year's "Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger" is set in a completely fictional fantasy world, depicting a thousand years ago when five heroes fought alongside the Guardian God King-Ohger, defeating the evil empire "Underworld Empire Bugnarok" and protecting humanity. They each established five distinct nations across the continent. However, 2000 years later, Bugnarok revives as prophesied and once again invades the human world, setting the stage for the story of four kings and one who is destined to become king. The Sentai robots in this series are insect-type mechanical lifeforms called "Guardian Gods," which can combine to form the giant robot "King-Ohger" and fight alongside the kings against Bugnarok.
The "DX God Scorpion" released this time is one of the three legendary Guardian Gods appearing in the series. It faithfully recreates the in-show appearance and colors, with articulated claws and tail, further enhanced by luxurious gold plating for a weighty, premium feel. Furthermore, God Scorpion features a transformation mechanism that allows it to become the weapon "Scorpion Claw," which can combine with the separately sold "DX King-Ohger" to form Scorpion King-Ohger, or gather God Kuwagata, God Scorpion, God Hopper, and King-Ohger to recreate the 13-machine grand combination "Legend King-Ohger"!
