Established in 2021, the new Japanese sofubi toy brand NEO PLAYER ONE (株式会社ネオプレイヤーワン) recently announced its first product from Berserk on its official Instagram: one of the highly popular antagonists from the series, "Zodd the Immortal" (ゾッド), transformed into a sofubi toy in his Apostle form!
Zodd is an out-and-out battle maniac, seeking to fight true strong opponents and revel in the thrill of combat! A century of warfare has earned him the legend of "Zodd the Immortal." He made his official debut during the Band of the Hawk's assault on Doldrey Fortress! After transforming into his Apostle form, Zodd's overwhelming power proved too much for Guts, and even Griffith who arrived later, to handle. This epic battle only concluded when Zodd spotted the Behelit hanging around Griffith's neck... Zodd has clashed with Guts and the Skull Knight multiple times and is currently one of the executives of the "New Band of the Hawk."
Detailed product information for this figure has not yet been announced. However, after being reinterpreted with a low-proportioned body, I personally believe this "Zodd" showcases a charming and intriguing appearance. Unlike the black exterior of the Zodd sofubi sold at the "Great Berserk Exhibition," this figure features lighter fur tones with very delicate texture sculpting. The hooves on its legs have a glossy sheen, and its horns and red eyes are very striking. Furthermore, Zodd's right hand holds a rather comical human soldier, seemingly screaming in agony, which makes for a very interesting combination.
