Hong Kong toy company Storm Collectibles, known for releasing numerous articulated collectible figures, will launch an articulated figure of HEISHIRO MITSURUGI, a character from BANDAI NAMCO's popular fighting game Soulcalibur, in Q3 2023!
The classic 3D fighting game series Soulcalibur (Soul Calibur), developed by BANDAI NAMCO, is renowned and popular for its beautiful characters, lifelike movements, and the satisfying, crisp feel of weapon combat. Its latest installment, Soulcalibur VI, released in 2018, is a culmination of 20 years of the series. Five years later, it remains highly popular, frequently featuring guest characters from other titles.
Heishiro Mitsurugi (御剣平四郎) is a veteran character in the Soulcalibur series, having appeared since the very first game, Soul Edge. He is a samurai from the Sengoku period, known by the moniker 'Lone Wolf Swordsman.' Born into a farming family, he embarked on the path of a swordsman after the death of his parents. When once facing a threat from Tanegashima, he became interested in Soul Edge while searching for a weapon. His weapon of choice is the katana. He possesses a bold and free-spirited personality, strong will, and formidable swordsmanship skills.
This Heishiro Mitsurugi figure by STORM COLLECTIBLES is based on his appearance in Soulcalibur VI, with his armor and patterns meticulously recreated. It includes three interchangeable face parts, four sets of interchangeable hand parts, his signature weapon, the katana, and effect parts for depicting slashing attacks. Posing him with either one-handed or two-handed weapon grips is effortlessly achievable.
