The original posable figure series "Desktop Army" from Japan's MEGAHOUSE toy company, following the highly acclaimed first edition "N-202d Titania Byakko", recently announced a partially revised new product, "N-202d Titania Byakko (ver1.1)", slated for release in October 2023.
The Titania (ティタニア) series, designed by illustrator Nidy-2D-, is a new product line created for the development of the next generation of Desktop Army. Its design incorporates Eastern fantasy elements such as zombies and the Four Sacred Beasts, and it features a new body sculpt with upgraded proportions and articulation. Currently, three Sacred Beast girls – Genbu, Seiryu, and Byakko – have been successively released. The highly anticipated fourth Sacred Beast, Suzaku, which is the final piece to complete the Ouryu, has yet to receive new information.
Compared to the first edition, the girl body of "Titania Byakko (ver1.1)" features an additional new "smiling face" expression part, with the rest of the content being largely the same. Compared to previous products in the series, it not only boasts a curvaceous and alluring physique, but also features newly added articulation axes in the wrists, waist, and thighs, achieving a wider range of motion. It can strike a cute "duck sitting" pose without needing to swap parts, and can also be posed in a greater variety of dynamic stances when equipped with its armaments.
Its guardian beast, "Byakko", can not only be played with independently but can also be disassembled into a set of enhanced armaments, allowing Titania to don a cute, cheongsam-like outfit, complete with a tiger-ear helmet, back wings, and tiger-claw gauntlets and shoes for her limbs. Furthermore, this product can link with the previous two Titania releases, combining the three guardian beasts – Genbu, Seiryu, and Byakko – to form the large guardian beast 'Ouryu (incomplete state)'!
