Following their Pukei-Pukei offering, international collectible brand Pure Arts has once again unveiled a 1/26 scale limited edition statue of the flagship monster "Nergigante" from CAPCOM's popular video game "Monster Hunter World," inspired by the game's cover art. This piece is limited to only 50 units worldwide, with a suggested retail price of $1,399 USD, and is expected to ship in Q3 2024.
First appearing in "Monster Hunter World," the Elder Dragon "Nergigante" is a highly destructive flagship monster that appears in the game at Arch-Tempered difficulty. Possessing an extremely belligerent nature and terrifyingly brutal destructive power, it excels at charging attacks with its thorn-covered body. After taking damage, its thorns harden and blacken, and it also boasts powerful regenerative abilities, making it a nightmare for novice hunters.
The "Pure Arts 'Monster Hunter World' Nergigante" 1/26 scale statue stands an impressive 30 inches (approximately 76 cm) tall. Inspired by the "Monster Hunter World" game cover art, it faithfully recreates Nergigante's attacking pose, standing on two legs with its thick arms raised high! Based on the game's design, its devilish horns, body covered in thorns, scale patterns, massive wings, and other features are brought to life with stunning accuracy. Its fierce gaze and gaping maw with a protruding, twisted tongue exude immense power! The intricate paint application throughout the piece showcases various textures such as pearlescent sheen, matte rough hide, and glossy wetness, thoroughly creating a realistic biological feel.
The base is designed as a hard rock formation with bursting crystals, featuring a fully equipped hunter and their Palico companion. This not only showcases elements of the "Monster Hunter World" universe but also emphasizes Nergigante's overwhelming presence and colossal size!
