Following the release of 1/6 scale collectible figures for Wolverine , Magneto , and Jubilee from MARVEL's X-Men series, renowned poster design and toy company MONDO's latest character to join the fray is Gambit! He is currently available for timed pre-order on MONDO's official website.
Gambit, who first appeared in X-Men comic issue #266 in 1990, was originally named Remy Etienne LeBeau. Growing up in the New Orleans Thieves Guild, Remy learned thieving techniques from a young age. He is also a mutant capable of infusing objects with kinetic energy. In the comics, he most commonly infuses playing cards and his bo staff with energy for combat, and throwing "exploding cards" is one of Gambit's most iconic attack methods! If Gambit's collectible figure doesn't come with exploding card effects, there's absolutely no need to buy it.
This MONDO collectible Gambit figure stands approximately 12 inches tall, recreating his classic animated appearance with a form-fitting battlesuit and a leather trench coat. The sculpted lines on the chest and abdomen, blue combat boots, and black cowl are meticulously detailed. The accessory content is incredibly rich, including a total of four head sculpts (one of which is Mystique in disguise), a bo staff, kinetic energy chains, kinetic energy cards, four Aces, an exploding card effect with interchangeable hand, a gun, Tithe, two Inhibitor Collars, and multiple interchangeable hands. The interchangeable hands for recreating Gambit's card-shuffling poses are absolutely fantastic!
