Following the successful launch of their first collaboration, "Cat's Bakery," in 2020, Japanese capsule toy manufacturer Kitan Club (キタンクラブ) and Japanese cat sculptor "Neko Labo" are set to release their highly anticipated sequel, the "Cat's Coffee Shop" (ねこの純喫茶) capsule toy series, in May 2023!
While "Jun Kissa" (純喫茶) and "Kissa-ten" (喫茶店) in Japanese also refer to coffee shops, they typically evoke a more retro, nostalgic atmosphere reminiscent of the Showa era. This time, the "Cat's Coffee Shop" series features various adorable cats serving up popular cafe dishes in sequence!
Each figure stands approximately 6.5 cm tall and the series includes five charming variations: "Calico Cat & American Pancakes," "Black Cat & Hot Coffee," "Bi-color Cat & Neapolitan Spaghetti," "Gray Cat & Iced Coffee," and "Tabby Cat & Cream Soda." Each cat figure comes with a wood-grain textured base and is sculpted in an anthropomorphic pose, either carrying a tray with one paw or holding a dish with both. Their slightly disdainful, tsundere expressions make them incredibly collectible! They're sure to be an adorable companion for your next afternoon tea outing.
