GOOD SMILE COMPANY of Japan is releasing the latest product in its popular "Nendoroid" series, which boasts over a thousand different items: "Uncle" from the popular anime "Uncle from Another World"! The suggested retail price is 6,700 JPY, and it is scheduled for release in December 2023. Additionally, "Nendoroid Elf," the aunt, is also available for pre-order!
Written by Japanese manga artist Hotondo Shindeiru, "Uncle from Another World" (Isekai Ojisan) tells the story of protagonist Takafumi Takaoka, who visits his uncle in the hospital, who has recently awakened after being in a coma for 17 years, bringing self-sufficiency support documents. Just as he is about to inform his uncle that no one in the family wants to take care of him, he witnesses his uncle performing magic from another world—it turns out his uncle is a survivor who returned from the other world of Granbahamal! While listening to the otaku uncle's tales of swords and magic, and encouraging him to transform into an Isekai-style YouTuber... the two embark on a new life of otherworld x cross-cultural experiences!
