To celebrate Disney's 100th anniversary, LEGO has been continuously releasing numerous highly thematic sets. Today (the 1st) marks the official announcement of the highly anticipated set that was leaked online a few days ago, much to the excitement of many LEGO fans: "43227 Villain Icons" (tentative translation)! It is scheduled for release on June 1, 2023.
This set contains a total of 1540 pieces. Its overall form is similar to the previously released "76391 Hogwarts Icons - Collectors' Edition," both creating classic elements and books at a near life-size scale, infused with strong villainous characteristics. There's even a super nostalgic VHS tape! The visually striking poison apple features an openable design, allowing the Evil Queen disguised as an old hag to be placed inside! The 'Queen of Hearts' playing card, themed after the Queen of Hearts, is also very interesting, and the VHS tape also holds a hidden secret.
There are a total of four LEGO minifigures, including the aforementioned Evil Queen from Snow White, Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty, Jafar (Red Genie form) from Aladdin, and Gaston from Beauty and the Beast. Coupled with the "Disney 100" commemorative emblem on the Sleeping Beauty and Aladdin storybooks, it is definitely worth collecting.
