BANDAI SPIRITS HOBBY Division, Japan, today announced the latest product from their highly popular character plastic model kit series 『Figure-rise Standard』: "Kamen Rider DARK KABUTO," originating from 《Kamen Rider KABUTO》, scheduled for release in October 2023.
This kit is a modification of the regular version "Kamen Rider KABUTO" released in 2019. The vibrant red armor on the upper body has been changed to a jet-black molded color, and the compound eye parts have been altered to clear yellow. New decals are included to create the distinctive red circuit patterns on the head, upper body armor, and belt, faithfully recreating Kamen Rider DARK KABUTO, who transforms in the show from a "Worm" mimicking Souji Tendou. Similar to KABUTO, it can be transformed into two forms, Masked Form and Rider Form, by swapping parts.
For weaponry, it includes the same type of "ZECT Kunai Gun" as KABUTO. The parts are also repurposed from the KABUTO Kunai Gun with a color change, allowing it to recreate three forms – Axe, Kunai, and Gun – by swapping parts. Furthermore, the cool special move "Rider Kick" effect parts have been replaced with clear yellow molded parts, specific to DARK KABUTO. The product's outer box will feature brand-new full-color box art, though it has not yet been revealed.
