BANDAI SPIRITS Company's HOBBY Division in Japan has announced the latest product from the 《Gundam Build Metaverse》 series, the "HG 1/144 Shin Burning Gundam," from the most diverse 1/144 scale Gunpla series, 『HG (High Grade)』, scheduled for release on November 11, 2023.
The Shin Burning Gundam is a new mobile suit in the "Burning Gundam" series, utilized by the protagonist Kamiki Sekai from the second installment of the series, 《Gundam Build Fighters Try》. Continuing the design style of the Kamiki Burning Gundam, this iteration features characters added to both shoulder armors, and the overall armor has been subtly modified from its original silhouette, appearing largely similar except for the head skirt armor. Its main weapon is a beam saber shaped like a blazing flame. The twin wings on its back not only pay homage to the Master Gundam in their design but can also further deploy into a beam cape, which can then be rotated forward to protect the main body.
The "HG 1/144 Shin Burning Gundam" utilizes numerous new parts to create a distinct head, shoulders, skirt armor, and entirely new original weaponry. The blue sections across its body, which absorb Plavsky Particles, are rendered with clear parts. The characters "炎" (Flame) and "神" (God) on both shoulders can be recreated with stickers. The kit includes impressively sized effect parts to reproduce dynamic poses for the beam saber, punching, kicking, and the deployed beam cape. Furthermore, both the blue and orange clear parts are made with "polarized resin," which reflects various colors depending on the viewing angle.
