Following Ryujinmaru, the second product in the "Mashin Hero Wataru" series, "Jakomaru", from the "HG (High Grade)" robot model kit line by Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS HOBBY Division, has also revealed its prototype images and box art, with a scheduled release date of December 16, 2023.
Jakomaru is a transformable Mashin piloted by Wataru Ikusabe's original rival, "Toraoh". Its core is the tiger spirit guarding the entrance to Tenkai Mountain. It wields the Tiger Sword and Tiger Shield, and can unleash techniques such as Tiger Sword Storm and Tiger Light Bullet. It even possesses a transformation mechanism similar to Kuujinmaru, allowing it to convert into a four-legged "Tiger Form", boasting excellent flight speed and defense, with combat power comparable to Ryuo Maru.
The "HG Jakomaru" is crafted with a sharp and cool silhouette based on the original design. The kit features a rich array of molded colors including red, yellow, black, white, and gray. Even the white sections of the claws and shield are separate parts, allowing for a significant recreation of its anime appearance straight out of the box. Its armaments include the Tiger Sword and the Tiger Shield, which can store the sword. Thanks to the pull-out shoulder joint mechanism, it can recreate dynamic sword-wielding battle poses, drawing the sword from the shield.
Furthermore, this Jakomaru can recreate its transformed four-legged "Tiger Form" through various built-in sliding and rotating mechanisms, along with some interchangeable parts. In this form, the Tiger Shield can be mounted on its back. It also includes "Jakomaru Missile" parts, shaped like sharks, and a dedicated clear stand, allowing for the recreation of missile launch scenes!
