The robot model kit series 『HG (High Grade)』, launched by the HOBBY Division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Company, showcased prototypes of its latest products from the classic anime Armored Trooper Votoms – "HG Scopedog," "HG Scopedog Expansion Parts Set 1," and "HG Scopedog Expansion Parts Set 2" – at the ongoing 61st Shizuoka Hobby Show. These are expected to be released sequentially starting October 2023.
The "HG Scopedog" boasts excellent color separation and part division technology, allowing it to recreate the distinctive triple-lens turret and various armor colors across the entire machine with a minimal number of parts, faithfully reproducing the Armored Trooper piloted by protagonist Chirico Cuvie from the series at a height of approximately 116mm. The main torso features multiple spherical movable joints designed for flexible rotation in various directions, while several body sections also incorporate two-axis spherical joints for natural posing. The arms further replicate the extendable 'Armor Punch' mechanism.

The "HG Scopedog Expansion Parts Set 1" includes an openable cockpit interior, a Chirico figure in a pilot suit for the cockpit, four types of interchangeable hand parts, and ground effect parts to recreate the 'Roller Dash' maneuver. This set can be combined with the separately sold Scopedog main unit to recreate scenes of entering and exiting the cockpit.
