BANDAI CANDY, the Shokugan division of Bandai Co., Ltd. (Japan), recently announced the latest Shokugan product themed after Nintendo's popular shooting game "Splatoon": "Splatoon 2 Gear Collection Reissue," scheduled for release in September 2023.
In the "Splatoon" series of games, players become mysterious squids that can transform into human form, wielding various weapons that spray colorful ink, engaging in thrilling online battles with other players. Furthermore, cute-style characters and a versatile dress-up system are naturally among the game's features. Not only can players choose their preferred style from a vast array of outfits (GEAR), but outfits also come with various abilities (GEAR POWER) to enhance performance during battles.
The "Splatoon 2 Gear Collection Reissue" re-releases several selected styles from previously released Gear Collection series, and changes the hair colors to the purple and yellow main visual colors of "Splatoon 3". It includes two types each of non-articulated Squid Boy and Squid Girl bodies, and four sets of super squid-style outfit parts, with a total of 8 types available for random selection. Similar to the in-game system, you can freely swap out the squid's headgear, tops, and shoes to create your favorite fashion style!
