MAX FACTORY, a popular Japanese toy company, is releasing its latest product, "figma Giyu Tomioka," from its popular "figma" action figure series, based on the highly popular anime and manga "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba"! The suggested retail price is 12,900 JPY, and it is scheduled for release in March 2024.
Giyu Tomioka is the first Hashira to appear in the "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" story – the Water Hashira, who utilizes "Water Breathing." He is a calm, collected, and taciturn black-haired young man, often seen as a loner, who wears a haori with different patterns on the left and right sides. This "half-and-half haori" commemorates the two most important people in his life: the left side shares the same pattern as his deceased friend Sabito, while the right side matches the clothing pattern of his deceased elder sister Tsutako. Though not adept with words, he possesses a gentle side.
The "figma Giyu Tomioka" stands approximately 15.5 cm tall, transforming the Water Hashira into a figma action figure, complete with his tied-up black hair, distinctive half-and-half haori, and Demon Slayer Corps uniform! It includes three interchangeable face parts: a neutral expression, a shouting angry face for combat, and a comical, chibi-style surprised face. These can be combined with various interchangeable hand parts, his Nichirin Blade, water effect parts, and more, allowing you to recreate his cool techniques! Additionally, it comes with a "Water Breathing Eleventh Form: Dead Calm" ripple effect part!
