Shanghai-based statue manufacturer Infinity Studio, in collaboration with Penguin Toys, following the release of "Legolas," "Gandalf," and "Witch-king of Angmar" in their "Master Forge" series based on the epic fantasy film 'The Lord of the Rings,' has recently unveiled their latest product: the dwarf warrior "Gimli", now materialized as a 1/2 scale full-body statue! Shipping is expected to begin in the second quarter of 2024.
This "Master Forge Gimli" stands at an impressive 87.8 cm tall, faithfully recreating his battle-ready stance from the Chamber of Mazarbul in the Mines of Moria, poised to slaughter his enemies as depicted in the film. Gimli, roaring with grief and fury, crosses his two axes, exuding a powerful aura! The head sculpt is crafted from Platinum Silicone, deeply and realistically shaping the facial contours and skin texture. Gimli's iconic red beard, one of his classic features, is meticulously hand-rooted, with fine hair strands adding further realism to this piece.
The costume, armor, and weapons fully showcase exquisite craftsmanship. Beyond the rich layers built from realistic leather textures and hard metallic finishes, the helmet, shoulder pads, arm guards, and boots are intricately carved with complex and delicate patterns. Coupled with the gleaming, hand-woven chainmail, the entire piece is truly packed with incredible detail! The base is designed around Balin's tomb, featuring white bones, the thick Book of Mazarbul, and spiderwebs (made from real threads) conveying the passage of time, further enhancing the sense of immersion and completeness.
